Aloha Kenji, wow! incredible blog post. I have slowly done chunks of the KST but have yet to do the whole thing. I would be interested in helping you out with a food / water drop at some point! Now I am going to scour your blog for a solid 2-day hike I can get into this weekend. Hope to see you on the trails.

Aloha!

First, I would like to congratulate you guys on a job well done for completing this monster of a trek! Truly an amazing feat for anyone! Secondly, I want to thank you for this blog post as it was amazing to see all the photos collected during your time up on the beautiful summit that I also love so much! I am an avid hiker myself and have always enjoyed the trails leading up to the Ko'olau summit. About a year from now, I plan on attempting this feat myself! I am not sure which side of the trail I want to start on, but I am determined to do so either which way! If you are able to spare some of your time, I would like a chance to exchange some emails with you to learn about your experience hiking this trail, coming from both ways, and to have some other questions answered about your preparation leading up to your journey and other things to expect. Once again, congratulations and thank you for a great read!

Super impressive. I can't imagine spending 10 straight days up on the KST... that takes some real grit. Great job documenting all the sites along the way!
